Argyris, an artist, architect and academic, was born in Nicosia in 1986. His body of work intertwines spatial design, fine art, and performance.
He is a co-director of GesamtAtelier, a company of artists who collaborate towards the conception and realisation of interdisciplinary performative projects and installations. He presented works in USA and Europe, at institutions such as the Museumquartier, Déda, Watermans Art Centre, Architectural Association, Center on Halsted, Romantso, Larnaca Biennalle, Fourth Biennial of Interior Design in Krakow, among others. He has been a member of the art collaborative Collective Cleaners with projects for the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago and the Jane Adams Hull-House Museum.
He has worked as an exhibition designer for the Field Museum Chicago and an interior architect. As a fine art, architecture and design lecturer, he has taught at Buckinghamshire New University, University of Suffolk, and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). He is also a Studio Tutor at the MA/MFA programme of the Architectural Association Interprofessional Studio (AAIS).
Argyris holds a Bachelor and Master of Science in Architectural Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens with honours, and a BFA at SAIC. He received an MFA in Spatial Performance and Design from the AAIS, with distinction.
