Elysia was born in Ascot (UK) in 1981 and raised in Cyprus.
She began her studies in London at “Chelsea University of Fine Arts”, followed by “Middlesex University of Fine Arts”.
Two years on in the studies she moved to Italy where she got her degree in Fine Arts (Sculpture) at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze.
She got a scholarship in an Artists Residency at Jingdedzhen (Sanbao Artists Residency) in China, introducing herself in the world of porcelain and then proceeded her knowledge on clay by attending a specialized ceramics course at Faenza (Ballardini).
In 2019 she also attended an artist residency at Guldagergaard International Ceramic Research Center (Denmark).
She has had various solo and group exhibitions in Italy, Cyprus and Denmark.
Taken part in various Biennials like the ceramics Biennial in Celle Ligure and at the First Biennale of Larnaca in 2018 winning the award of excellence.
She currently lives and works in Bologna as a Sculptor.
