Evgenia Ioannidou

Evgenia Ioannidou (b.1996) is a Cypriot visual artist based in Athens. Her work is a parallel exploration of personal stories -fictional or not- and structural features of houses and gardens.
The main tools of her work are sculpture, video and text. She creates new possibilities composed by the union of seemingly unlinked elements and objects. Through imitating the real, she attempts to examine the uncanny and its truth.

She graduated from Athens School of Fine Arts in 2020. She has participated in group shows and collaborative projects, such as Day’s Residues, ASFA Degree Show, 2020(Athens); Human Particles Of The Living Sun”at Sehenswürdigkeiten, collaboration with Academy of Fine Arts Leibzig, 2019; The spirit of the stairs , a collaboration with Ayios Nicolaos Municipality, Crete,2019; Just before the interaction, Group Pop Up Show, 2019, Athens).
