Giorgos Gerontides (born in Athens 1987) he is a Cypriot artist. He studied at the School of Fine and Applied Arts in Thessaloniki and at ERSEP Plastic Arts School of Fine Arts in Lille, France.
His first solo show “a Poor man’s something” was present at Zina Athanasiadou Gallery (Thessaloniki 2017) curated by Marina Athanasiadou.
He has participated in many group show and residency programs. These include: Coffins Of Black Coffins Of Luck at ILENA TOUNTA Gallery(2019). THE EQUILIBRISTS, Benaki Museum, Athens, Greece Organized by the DESTE Foundation and the New Museum, New York in collaboration with the Benaki Museum curated by: Gary Carrion-Murayari and Helga Christoffersen with Massimiliano Gioni( 2016). Island of absurd, Staedtische Gallery,Bremen Germany (2015) . Biennale:4 of contemporary art State Museum of Contemporary Art Thessaloniki Greece (2014). Also he works and creates solo projects such as “Its a rust lab, it was a rust lab” . to pikap show room Thessaloniki (2019) “-Objectiv party”, dynamo project space,Thessaloniki(2014) The Vitrine Project( 2013-14).
