Artist CV

Ioulia Charalambous was born in Nicosia in 1989, lives and works in Thessaloniki. In 2013 she graduated with honors from the Department of Fine and Applied Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In 2019 she was admitted to the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program "Art and Public Sphere" of the Department of Fine and Applied Arts of the School of Fine Arts and the Department of Political Science of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Charalambous in 2019 was selected to participate in Tania Burgura's workshop, "Arte Util" (Useful Art). Her fields of research are around Art and Politics as she expand her research around Community, Participatory Art. Her artistic interests extend to painting, drawing, sculpture, art installations, scenography, while she has participated in seminars of the State Theater of Northern Greece with Pan-European participations. Charalambous has created sets and edited theatrical performances. She has participated in group exhibitions and numerous workshops.
