Artist CV

Spyros C. Prokopiou was born in 1990 in Nicosia, Cyprus. He currently lives and works in the United States of America.

In 2016 he graduated with honors from the Fine Arts School of Aristotle University,with BFA in painting. In 2019 he gained his MFA, from the New York Academy of Art in Drawing and Printmaking. He is the first Cypriot graduate from the Academy and he was granted with the Presidential scholarship of the Academy.

He has participated in various exhibitions in Cyprus, Greece, Poland, Turkey, Italy, Mexico, and USA and has excelled with honors and awards internationally. His work published and belongs to private and public collections, such as: Frissiras Museum, Tellogleion Foundation for the Arts, Luciano Benetton Collection.

He is a fellow, selectively: Levention Foundation, Presidential Scholarship NYAA, Bob Colacello Scholar, Cyprus Children Foundation NY.
